Who is Pure Foods Tasmania?

Pure Foods Tasmania Pty Ltd was formed in 2015 to acquire, grow and develop premium Tasmanian food businesses.

To date and in line with this strategy, PFT has acquired two businesses (which are held through separate wholly owned subsidiaries):

Tasmanian Pate - one of Australia's largest pate businesses and supplier to many large retail outlets including Costco, Aldi and Woolworths. Tasmanian Pate has been operating since 1996;

Woodbridge Smokehouse - a boutique producer of ultra-premium Tasmanian smoked salmon and trout. Woodbridge Smokehouse has been operating since 2004.

As proud Tasmanian's, the aim of our online store is to help promote and distribute PFT's products, as well as other premium Tasmanian produce. 

 

How do you ship fresh produce safely?

Your orders are packaged in polyfoam or cardboard boxes and filled with frozen gel ice packs to maintain a cool temperature for up to 72 hrs. If no one is home upon delivery, your order will be left at your door or as per your advised instructions.

  • Metro CBD Areas: 1 to 2 Working Days; and
  • Outside Metro CBD Areas: 2 to 3 Working Days
  • Remote rural areas: please contact us to discuss

Whilst all due care and attention is taken by Woodbridge Smokehouse in organising the prompt delivery of your order, sometimes the delivery estimates are out of our control and as such may be longer or shorter than expected.  If this is the case please call us and we can provide the contact details of the delivery company for you to liaise with.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter.



I'm picking my order up. Where and when can I pick up?

We currently offer local free pick up from our Woodbridge Smokehouse. Orders will be ready on Thursdays and are available for pick from 10am to 3pm Thursdays and Fridays. 

We have a small busy team that work at the smokehouse, so if you are driving a fair distance, we recommend calling ahead so that they are expecting you at a specific time.

Do you accept AMEX or international credit cards? 

We currently accept VISA and Mastercard through Shopify payments, or alternatively you can use any payment option through PayPal. 

Unfortunately we do not accept AMEX. 

 

I want my order to arrive on a Monday. Why can't I?

We are currently only dispatching orders on a Wednesday, for an earliest arrival of Thursday. This is a result of production limitations and current online store order volumes.

We hope to expand this to more than one day in future. 

 

I have a Tasmanian product and would love to have it on your online store. How do I go about that?
